In its history as a publisher of innovative and edgy literary and visual art, Miracle Monocle has produced nine groundbreaking issues. We’ve featured MacArthur “genius” award-winning writers alongside new and emerging talents, hosted headline-grabbing literary events at local venues, and served as a one-of-a-kind job training program for students with aspirations in publishing. For our tenth issue, forthcoming in Spring of 2018, we intend to up the ante.
That’s where you come into the picture.
With your contribution, Miracle Monocle will be able to make needed enhancements to its publishing platform, fund a large-scale literary competition in recognition of emerging talents, and dramatically expand the journal’s reach. Putting your support behind Miracle Monocle is putting your faith in our ability to make an impact on the national stage; it’s about believing in Louisville as an incubator for distinctive literary publishing; and it’s about helping student writers find a path to career realization.
Your gift in any amount will have a tremendous impact on our growth as a truly unique—and vivacious—literary community.
We hope you’ll consider joining us on this ambitious adventure.

Miracle Monocle will honor all contributions of $10 or more with a spot on our esteemed “wall of donors,” a new page designed specifically for this purpose on our website.
Miracle Monocle is staffed by six student interns, all of whom assume critical roles in the creation of the journal. Your donation at this level will help these ambitious young editors expand their career horizons by representing the journal at local—and perhaps even national—conferences and events.
Every year, Miracle Monocle throws a launch party and reading to celebrate its new issues. Here's your chance to join the 2018 lineup of featured readers, or to invite a writer you know to take the mic.
Miracle Monocle launched its first annual award for innovative writers last year. This year, we invite you to name our awards. Honor a family member or friend, or become the name that writers across the country associate with support for the arts.
